Justin Bonomo took down the Triton Poker London Short Deck Main Event title on Thursday night by defeating Wai King Yong heads-up to win a £2,670,000 first place prize, catching up a bit in the All-Time Money List after Bryn Kenney dethroned him earlier this month. In a post-tournament interview, Bonomo hinted that he will be playing less poker.

Prahlad made the following statements on Twitter (in multiple tweets, condensed here): @PrahladFriedman – “Isaac Haxton and Justin Bonomo share and switch accounts often.

Just in time for its very first Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP), the world’s most popular online poker room, PokerStars, reinstated the account of Justin “ZeeJustin” Bonomo, a sponsored pro of Bodog. The 23 year-old first ran into trouble in 2006 on PartyPoker, which was, at the time, open to U.S. players. Bonomo logged into multiple accounts at one time, sparking a flood of other sites to follow suit and ban the young player from their virtual felts.

Bonomo’s multi-accounting came into light soon after the revelation that Josh “JJProdigy” Field had used several screen names, including “ABlackCar.” The mischief by Field also occurred on PartyPoker, leading the site to tighten up its security. Field was also informed by the Cake Poker Network that he could not compete in the Bluff Online Poker Challenge last month due to a ban for allowing a staked player to use his account.

Bonomo used a total of six accounts to log into PartyPoker; at times, these accounts appeared in the same online poker tournament. Winnings from a $640 buy-in PartyPoker Sunday tournament were revoked and Bonomo shied away from the media frenzy. On February 26th, 2006, Lee Jones, then the PokerStars Poker Room Manager, announced on TwoPlusTwo that Bonomo had been “playing multiple accounts in several tournaments at PokerStars.” Money was taken from his account and used to pay back “players who were harmed by his actions in those same tournaments.”

In 2008, Bonomo signed on as a member of Team Bodog, joining “Survivor: China” castaway Jean-Robert Bellande, Evelyn Ng, and David Williams. Bonomo burst onto the live poker scene in 2007, taking second in a $3,000 buy-in HORSE tournament held as part of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit festivities at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas for $40,000. During the 2007 WSOP, Bonomo made the final table and finished fourth in a $2,000 buy-in No Limit Hold’em tournament, winning $156,000. The next year, he finished as the runner up in a $5,000 Mixed Hold’em event for $230,000. That tournament marked the first bracelet win for Full Tilt Poker pro Erick Lindgren.

During the 2006 Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic, a stop on the World Poker Tour (WPT), Bonomo bubbled the six-handed televised final table and finished in seventh for $152,000. He took 11th in the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event and 35th in the WPT Championship, both in 2007, for a combined $154,000. Together with Parvis and Eric Morris, Bonomo took down the inaugural Dream Team Poker tournament held at the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas as part of “Team Bluff.” Now, he will battle it out in the PokerStars SCOOP, which begins on Friday.

On the naming of Bonomo to Bodog’s elite stable of poker pros in May of 2008, Mohawk Gaming Group CEO Alwyn Morris commented in a press release, “Justin is one of the most feared and skilled players in poker today and we’re thrilled to officially have him join our team of world-class poker pros. Justin lives and breathes the Bodog lifestyle and is a perfect fit for us. We expect him to make a lot of noise this year for Team Bodog, beginning with the WSOP this summer.”

After a frantic weekend of action, including one big score for a very familiar face and a few close calls for another, the Turbo Series is halfway complete. Here's a rundown of all the action from Days 5, 6, and 7.

Bonomo bags another High Roller title

Justin Bonomo spent 2018 making high roller tournaments his personal domain. He brought that dominance online over the weekend when he won Event #54, the $5,200 8-Max High Roller event, for $192,427.76. Bonomo defeated Finland's elmerizz heads-up for the title.

Niklas 'Lena900' Åstedt, who won his first Turbo Series title last week, nearly grabbed a second title over the weekend -- twice. First he finished Event #40, $109 NL 2-7 Single Draw, in sixth place. Then he finished second to spaise411 of Russia in Event #47, $109 HORSE.

Finland's Sami 'Lrslzk' Kelopuro, who also won a title last week, came close again in Event #57, the $215 Sunday Supersonic SE. Kelopuro finished fifth for more than $13,000. Also of note were two strong performances by monoalive. The player from Argentina finished ninth in Event #37 ($109+R NL Hold'em) for more than $2,100, then followed that with a runner-up finish in Event #43 ($11 NL Hold'em) for another $9,700.

ITM finishes

After being dominated by one player for the first week of the Turbo Series, the ITM leaderboard has some competition. Russia's Zapahzamazki, who won Event #28 last week, collected a 17th in-the-money finish over the weekend to surpass Andreas 'mrAndreeew' Berggren for the top spot. Berggren remains tied for second place with Latvia's poker@luffyD at 16 cashes each.

KO count

Collecting another 50 (!!!) bounties over the weekend helped Angola's vidanilo take over the top spot on the Turbo Series KO leaderboard with 74 total knockouts. Greece's TheHolland scored 35 more knockouts to move into second place, and Latvia's ekziter scored 25 more to climb into third.

Fintan 'easywithaces' Hand joined the action this weekend and grabbed four bounties to make his first appearance on the PokerStars Ambassadors KO leaderboard. Spraggy retains the overall lead with seven KOs and more than $1,400 in bounty value, though Lex Veldhuis now also has seven bounties to his credit during the Turbo Series.

Turbo Series ROI-alty

There were three big ROI stories over the weekend, headlined by German player Ninoo166, who won an $11 satellite into Event #39, a 6-Max, Progressive KO tourney. Then Ninoo166 topped the entire field of the $215 event for more than $59,000 in prize money.

Slovakian player LuCasino777 also won an $11 satellite, this one to Event #57, the $215 NLHE Sunday Supersonic SE. In the end LuCasino777 finished third, collecting more than $25,000 in prizes and bounties.

Finally there was Russia's bobkin-ru, who qualified in a $2.85 satellite for Event #45, a $22 rebuy tourney. bobkin-ru went on to finish fourth and win $10,000.
